Having the opportunity to see, first hand, the Union’s charitable efforts at work makes Pilots for Kids a unique endeavor. During the holidays, there is no shortage of very worthy causes that need financial assistance, and the P4K-HFF initiative is among them. Please consider including the Christmas Wish initiative in your charitable giving this holiday season. For more information or to volunteer to participate, please send an email to email@example.com.
The Second Annual 2016 Pilots for Kids (P4K) Golf Tournament was a tremendous success, raising more than $6,000 to support upcoming charitable initiatives sponsored by the P4K Columbus Chapter. To that very end, NJASAP and P4K-CMH are scheduled to host a back-to-school celebration on Friday, Sept. 9 in partnership with the Homeless Families Foundation during which pilots in uniform will distribute new shoes and a new outfit to children served by the Foundation. Remaining funds will be used to support the annual P4K holiday gift distribution at the Foundation.
More than 70 people participated in the late-August golf tournament, including NJASAP Executive Board members, volunteers and staff as well as NetJets peers and their families. Prior to the shotgun start, a sky diving exhibition was held with skydivers landing on the course. Later on as golfers approached the 10th hole, they were given the choice of making an additional donation to P4K or wearing a moomoo. In most instances, they chose to do both.
The event concluded with dinner, a raffle and event organizers encouraging participants to join them next year for the third annual tournament. NJASAP is very pleased to recognize all of its representatives and to thank them for their very generous support of the event. For more information about P4K-CMH or its upcoming back-to-school celebration, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
